LoremKeys is a macOS app from MacMillan Design, LLC. LoremKeys generates randomized lorem ipsum placeholder text using keyboard shortcuts.

We designed LoremKeys to do a small job locally on your Mac. We do not want your personal information, and the LoremKeys app does not collect it.

Information the LoremKeys App Collects

The LoremKeys app does not collect personal data.

The app does not require an account, does not use analytics, does not use advertising trackers, does not send generated text to MacMillan Design, and does not send generated text to any server.

Information Stored Locally on Your Mac

LoremKeys stores app preferences locally on your Mac so the app can remember your settings. These settings may include enabled shortcut rows, keyboard shortcut choices, casing preference, and delivery mode.

These settings are stored on your device using macOS app storage. MacMillan Design does not receive these settings.

Clipboard and Paste Behavior

When you use LoremKeys, generated lorem ipsum text may be placed on your clipboard.

If you use Copy + paste mode, LoremKeys places generated text on the clipboard and sends Command-V to the frontmost app. macOS requires Accessibility permission before an app can send keyboard commands to another app. LoremKeys uses Accessibility permission only for paste behavior.

LoremKeys does not read, store, transmit, or analyze your clipboard contents for any other purpose.

Support Requests

If you contact us through the LoremKeys support form, we receive the information you choose to submit, such as your name, email address, support topic, macOS version, LoremKeys version, message, and any attachment you provide.

We use support request information only to respond to support, troubleshoot issues, improve LoremKeys, and maintain records related to customer support.

Please do not submit passwords, payment card numbers, confidential documents, or other sensitive information through the support form.

App Store Purchases

LoremKeys purchases, receipts, refunds, and billing are handled by Apple through the App Store. MacMillan Design does not receive your full payment card information.

For purchase history, billing, refunds, or download issues, use Apple Support or your App Store purchase history.

Sharing Information

MacMillan Design does not sell personal information.

We may share information only when necessary to operate our website, process support requests, comply with law, protect our rights, or respond to a lawful request.

Third-Party Services

The LoremKeys app does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

The MacMillan Design website and support form may be hosted or processed by third-party website, hosting, email, security, or form service providers. Those providers may process support submissions and standard technical information as needed to operate the website and deliver support requests.

Children’s Privacy

LoremKeys is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above.
